Are men really obsessed with the phallus?

The status of the penis is somewhat similar as that Barry White song: “You're my first, my last, my everything.”

In the Alberto Moravia book 'Him and Me’ (1972) the protagonist Federico constantly gets caught in arguments and unpleasant situations. The reason for this is his giant and very demanding sexual organ, which the owner calls “king Federico«. The title of the novel says a lot. Many men have the feeling that their phallus has its own will and desires and just like Federico think the world of it at one time and are ashamed of it the next.

The novel describes male sexuality very precisely

The novel doesn’t explain only basic truths about male sexuality, but it also helps propagate one of the most common myths about the penis – that the size of the penis is connected to masculinity and that the sexual organ is much more demanding and pleases a woman more easily if it’s larger. Men are concerned about the size of the penis, not women. The fact that Moravia chose to write a novel where one of the protagonists has a penis of amazing proportions is clear evidence that this excites mostly men.

Phallus doesn’t equal penis!

One of the most important facts which is unknown to many men and women is that phalluses don’t differ that much from one another in terms of size, while the differences between penises are much greater. This means that a smaller penis increases more during an erection than a large one. But they’re all more than capable cocks when erected and are able to satisfy a woman. Masters and Johnson measured the penis sizes of 300 men during one of their researches. The longest was about 5 and a half inches long (14 centimetres) and the smallest under 2 and a half inches (6 centimetres). The first belonged to a thin short man and the second to a big and tall man. It’s also interesting that the size of the penis doesn’t correlate as much to the rest of the body as most other organs.

What should a man know?

There’s no reason to feel pride or be worried about an organ of unusual dimensions. The woman’s sensitive sexual organs aren’t deep in the body, so a small phallus can just as easily satisfy her as a big one. But because the vagina can also stretch to let a baby out, it can also adjust to the biggest phallus. The only thing a man with a big cock has to know is that the vagina expands gradually, just like sexual arousal happens gradually, so he can’t put the phallus in too soon or too roughly.
