Whatever type of an indulger, naturist or nudist you are, you should make sure that you understand the rules that apply for such beaches.

 

We distinguish between two types of nudist beaches. The first type literally requires visitors to cast off all their clothes. Failing to observe the rules, they may be asked to leave the beach. Such a beach is called a nudist beach. The second type has slightly less strict rules. Visitors are given a choice, that is, they can be nude so, dressed or something in between, and such a beach could therefore be called a nudist – non-nudist beach or something similar.

Playa El Mago, Majorca

It is Majorca’s first nudist beach. A crystal-clear bay and golden sand beaches surrounded by shady pine trees ranked Plays El Mago at the top of nudist beaches. There is also an open-air bar on the beach, and the beach is close to near the family-friendly beaches of Portals Vells.

 

Sweetwater, Crete, Grecce

Also known as Gilko Nero. It is located about 15.5 miles from Chanie, and the road is slightly more restricted. It is accessible only by boat or foot from the village of Loutro. A towering cliff surrounded the beach, thus making it a veritable sun trap. There is a tavern on the western side of the beach, just near the place where boats with visitors from Loutro and Chora Sfakia dock.

 

One of the most beautiful nudist beaches is also the Croatia’s Valalta beach, which is mostly visited by families. (jlp)

 

Sylt, Germany

One of the Frisian Islands in the North Sea is also known as Germany’s St. Tropez. Germans usually flock here in July and August to up the tan, see and be seen. The western part of the coast is covered with white-sand beaches. Buhne 16 is considered the most tolerant beach.

 

Valalta, Croatia

It is located in the Istria peninsula, about 5 miles from the town of Rovinj. It is a nudist campsite which boasts a 2-mile long, clean and arranged beach. There is also a sea-water swimming pool and a free-of-charge flume linked directly to the sea. Visitors are mostly families who return there every year.
