It’s no wonder that the director Bernardo Bertolucci set the scene in Paris again. This is a Mecca for movie buffs and three such people hang around Paris at the end of the sixties. It is no wonder that a pathologic connection develops between them, especially as the brother and sister are in an incestuous relationship, while the American, played by Michael Pitt, likes to watch. This is his primary interest and he does it with pictures of hot girls in panties. The story takes place in 1968, when there were many student demonstrations happening in Paris.
