Americans finally got a comedy which easily surpasses the too stupid Orgazmo, which was shot in 1997 by Trey Parker and which put a Mormon into the role of a porn star. The director of our movie is Kevin Smith, who shot such movies as Chasing Amy, a story about a boy who falls in love with a lesbian and Clerks 2, where a guy unknowingly pays for an erotic show where a man has intercourse with a horse. Zack and Miri Make a Porno, his latest movie, where the title roles are played by Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks, is definitely amongst his best works. It’s very funny, brave enough and has the right amount of drama for a comedy. One of the roles is also played by the legendary porno diva Traci Lords, whom Zack Brown and Miriam Linky accept into their porn movie because she can blow soap bubbles with her crotch.

You see, Zack and his roommate Miri are without money. They’re so broke that they have to use unpaid bills to heat up the apartment in the winter. The only way out is to make a porn movie. They are supposed to act in one of the scenes themselves and have sexual intercourse for the first time. It’s their relationship that turns the movie into something of higher quality and lifts it above the stupid Orgazmo, which was only a cheap parody without any drama. The story thus takes us behind the scenes of the making of a real porn movie, where various problems occur. The movie naturally shows and presents these problems in a very fun way.
