The nephew of the deceased (Paul Giamatti) and his wife (Elizabeth Perkins) are already trying to get hold of her assets. The seventies: three lesbian roommates (Michelle Williams, Nia Ling, Natasha Lyonne) are confused by a weird and tomboyish young girl (Chloe Sevigny), who seduces one of them. The modern era: Sharon Stone and Ellen DeGeneres, a lesbian couple, they are head over heels for one another, they want to have a baby and start exploring the option of artificial insemination.
