Erotic movies: Salon Kitty
This time the cult director Tinto Brass disappoints lovers of movies which deal with prostitution in the time of Nazism.
Salon Kitty is a typical example of so-called Nazi sexploitation.
In 1976 The infamous director Tinto Brass gave us this very reserved remake of The Night Porter. A better and hotter rendition on the same theme was made in 1977 with the movie L’ultima Orgia del III Reich (Last Orgy of the Third Reich).
A trapped whore and a perverted Nazi
What Dirk Bogarde and Charlotte Rampling did in the movie
The Night Porter and what Marc Loud and Daniela Poggi did in the movie
Last Orgy of the Third Reich, Teresa Ann Savoy and John Steiner are now doing in Salon Kitty, a movie made by the infamous Tinto Brass, who also directed the even more infamous movie Kaligula. A trapped whore and a brazen Nazi. This is the story of Helmut Wallenberg (Helmut Berger), a high-ranking commanding officer of the SS, who sends his soldiers into madam Kitty’s (Ingrid Thulin) brothel. She eavesdrops on them in the rooms where they’re surrendering to sexual pleasures with prostitutes, then blackmails them and has everything under control. It’s true that the story is anything but average, especially considering that it supposedly happened in real life as well. But Tinto Brass unfortunately settles for the average here – some nudity, bad acting and terrible psychological dramatization.
The story of madam Kitty’s brothel, where horny Nazis go to have fun, will thrill all enthusiasts of erotic kitsch.
For people who love Nazi sexual orgies
Still, Salon Kitty is an interesting affair for people who love so-called
Nazi sexploitation, a genre where undressing, sex, sadism and orgies usually happen in concentration camps and brothels during the Second World War. In these movies evil Nazis usually torture and abuse their female prisoners. These movies also rarely get past the clichés of nudity and sex. If you want a real brothel, watch Brass’s much juicier and more daring movie, called Paprika. If you find the concept of pathological and masochistic love appealing, stick to the legendary The Night Porter and Last Orgy of the Third Reich, where the two lovers even have a child. If you’re interested in Nazi sexploitation, also watch the cult Ilsa and have fun.
The movie also has a powerful enough love story between a prostitute and an evil Nazi.
