How your body changes after childbirth?
Despite all the incredible experiences, pregnancy may also be a dreadful nuisance to a woman’s body. What changes does your body undergo?

Changes generally don’t last very long
Pregnancy is definitely one of the most beautiful times in your life because there’s a new being growing inside you as a result of the love between you and your partner. This period also marks your body by the many changes you have to face. However, these changes don’t last very long, though some may last longer than others. Mood swings, acne, pain and weight gain gradually disappear and your appetite becomes normal again. Naturally, some changes, such as weight gain, take a little longer to remedy and require a great deal of your persistence. It’s highly recommended that you have a lot of physical exercise, such as daily walks and or workouts.

Hair
As your body goes through hormonal changes, you hair may look different after childbirth. Your hair’s condition may improve or it may worsen by becoming dry, damaged and fragile. You can alleviate these problems with proper care advised by a good hair stylist or cosmetician.
Skin
Skin changes are also caused by the hormonal changes experienced by your body at the time of pregnancy and childbirth. If the skin’s condition worsens (acne, rashes, skin spots or increased hair growth), your skin needs non-aggressive care. Some experts recommend mothers to use the same products for their skin as they use for their baby’s skin. They have to avoid strong sunlight and cosmetic products that are too aggressive. It’s also advisable that they drink a lot of water.

General wellbeing and the feelings of unattractiveness
Although childbirth may really exhaust a woman, she has to be at her baby’s disposal all the time. This means that your biorhythm is disrupted and you can catch sleep and rest only when you’re able to. As your body goes through many changes during pregnancy, you may feel unattractive, especially because of the gained weight. In that case, it’s very important how your partner behaves to help you re-gain your self-confidence with stimulating words.
Widened hips
During pregnancy, your body adapts so as to be able to carry the developing child. This means that your hips widen and your body changes its shape. It’s very difficult to restore the original size of your hips after pregnancy and it’s difficult to put on the same trousers as before the pregnancy. It’s highly recommended that you exercise. If nothing else, it’ll help you decrease the size of your waist and thighs.

Vagina
Some changes also take place in your private parts. You may feel pain in your vagina and perineum for a while. You have to abstain from sexual intercourse until you undergo a gynaecological examination, but if your sex life is still painful afterwards or if you still bleed, it’s best that you wait for a little while longer. Pain during sexual intercourse can also occur as a result of hormonal imbalance. As long as penetration is painful, you and your partner can practise other forms of lovemaking. Your vagina may dry out because of breastfeeding. It’s therefore advisable that you use a lubricant before having intercourse, and you should also be very aroused before penetration occurs.
Breasts
After childbirth, your breast may become larger or smaller. The most common and unpleasant toll of pregnancy and breastfeeding are ptotsis (breast sagging) and stretch marks. For that reason, it’s advisable that you moisten your breasts or even your whole body with moisturising body milk during pregnancy. While you’re aroused, your breasts may leak milk, which might make you feel very uncomfortable in front of your partner if you’re a first-time mother. Your partner should be understanding about the changes in your body.
