Sex Rules the World

People mostly don't live in harmony with nature; let's leave the cars, factories, etc. aside for today and really focus on things that are connected with our instincts: the food, relationships with the young, the weak and the old, a fight to survive, etc. And sex of course belongs to this group. When it comes to food many people don't care if they eat a pineapple or an apple in the middle of winter, they don't let their young ones out of their hands until their fertility starts to fade away, they take care of the old with the help of machines offered by the society. More or less everyone lives in monogamy, but our instincts 'demand' polygamy. And when we talk about sex, we talk about hormones, offspring, etc.

I have a question: Is sex the only oasis where we are truly connected with the nature, where our denied instincts try to blossom? Of course with the help of vibrators, whips, handcuffs and similar.

On the other hand, sex is the eminent area of our selfishness. Not only it represents an incredible pleasure but the one thing that is not connected with nature and only a human owns (probably?) is fed through sex: an ego.

Sex is a psychological issue, we discuss it on a chessboard full of hormones, we limit sex, we cross all the limits with sex, we are full of emotions when it comes to sex or we totally separate it from feelings... A person can't decide whether to be an animal or a spiritual being when it comes to sex. I'm not saying the decision is easy to make or even necessary - because a human being is a mixture of both things . But even by realizing this binary opposites (as Levis Strauss put it) we land on more solid ground.

Sex is just one more thing in life.
