Cheating and the End of a Relationship

Is cheating a consequence of the workings of hormones, or is it more a convenient way to bring about the end of a relationship?

 

When a relationship has gone bad, we easily end up in the arms of another person ... (jlp) 

 

There are a number of reasons for irresistible attraction. Hormones and ovulation may be the cause for not being able to resist your secretary and wanting to jump on her, or having thoughts about your friend from school or colleague in everyday masturbation. You yourself have a steady partner, and he or she is married. What to do? Do you give in to passion, risking the end of a relationship, or clench your teeth?

During ovulation, women love to dream about a stranger. We can easily get into a situation in which we unsuspectingly suggest sex on a photocopier. We may be unconsciously attracted to a smell detected by the O nerve. The more the smell of the person you like excites your O nerve, the harder it will be for you to fight the attraction to that particular person. This may be caused by estrogen and testosterone.

 

Is it better to give in to raw sexual attraction or wait till the urge is gone? (jlp) 

 

Yes, the fault may lie in hormones or in the O nerve, but still, might it be that the fault lies in you? It's a fact that when a love relationship isn't as solid as it used to be, we tend to seek the easiest solution to bring about the end of a relationship – falling for another person, where we may even have sexual intercourse with that person. Unfortunately, we all too often realize what's happening when it's already too late. Only after we cheat on our long-term partners, we realize that we don't like the person with whom we cheated. It's then that we begin to ruminate about the relationship we've run away from.

The easiest thing for us is to close our eyes and give in to passion. Is this the right way to go about the end of a relationship? Believe me, it will be easier for you and your significant other if you don't cheat. I know it's hard to talk when you're full of anger, or when you have the feeling that your partner doesn't listen to you. Nevertheless, does he or she really deserve to be cheated on? Would you deserve to be cheated on?

Take a deep breath three times, sit down in front of your partner, and speak what's on your mind without any accusations. Words such as “It's all your fault” do not contribute to a constructive conversation. You should start by saying something like “It disturbs me that we have sex so seldom,” or “It hurts me that the romance is gone.”

In situations that seem to be hopeless, you need to be honest. If you or your partner cannot be honest, and you keep blaming each other for your problems, you may be stuck in such an unpleasant situation for several years. You are responsible for the state you are in, as you were the one who let yourself get in the current situation. I know it's hard to accept that, but it's important to have an absolutely honest conversation in order to find out whether you and your partner really want to continue your relationship. If you decide for the end of a relationship, it's time to start anew. You know they say that if you don't get rid of the old, there's no room for the new in your life.

 

I hope you manage to resolve problems with your partner. Decide on your emotions after you accept what has happened and you are able to let go of the past. Then it's time to determine whether the attraction between you two is still there.
