This article will show you more clearly how the male mind works. All the manoeuvres described here can be observed when a man is faced with the question: “Have you been cheating on me?” Women, watch out!

"If you weren’t asked, tell nothing"

Some men are such skilled cheaters that their partner has no reason to ask such a question. But a guilty conscience sometimes makes us think that we have to tell the truth. If this conscience didn’t stop us from cheating, we can ignore it now. If there’s really no chance of her ever finding out the truth, a lie just seems the lesser evil to us. Men choose "empathy" rather than telling the truth! Some consider this as an affirmation of love because they put other people’s well-being before their own principles. If you don’t tell the truth, that doesn’t mean you’re lying, right? Only if you were explicitly asked: “Have you cheated on me?”, would you actually be lying.

"Craftily avoid giving the answer"

If you’re faced with the question, as a man you can still try various manoeuvres, the success of which depends on your partner. The question turns out to be too broad and offers ways out. You can try philosophically: “What do you consider cheating?” Then you involve her in a theoretical debate and you hope she forgets what she asked. A man can also try a counter-strike: “Don’t you trust me? How can you even ask me something like this?” You put on a sour face and pretend you’re hurt, as if her distrust really bothered you. Unless she’s sure of your infidelity, this manoeuvre will confuse her and you’re in the clear again. Another brilliant and stylish move is answering: “Of course, honey. About a hundred times with your sister and her boyfriend ... What’s wrong with you?” She, of course, won’t believe this. If you’re lucky, she’ll be ashamed for asking you such stupid questions. You’re playing the outrageous card. All these ways out are appropriate if a man knows she doesn’t know, but only slightly suspects.

"Tell the truth and show remorse"

If a man knows she knows or that she’ll find out, lying will of course wreak the most damage. It’s time for remorse and putting the emphasis on something else. There are several options. The most often used tactic is saying: “I cheated on you, but it meant nothing. I still love you and she means nothing to me.“ This won’t get you far. You can try the "harsh truth" and assign the blame on her: “Yes, I cheated on you, but ….“ You then tell her she’s not paying enough attention to you, that she’s not satisfying your needs and that the relationship’s in trouble in general. You don’t say that she’s unattractive, fat or something similar. You're tactful. Assigning the blame on somebody else is a very good move for men and usually works.

The second extreme is bursting into tears. You act with so much pain that she isn’t able to suspect you’re not sorry. You might even get a friend of yours to tell her how bad you feel and what a mistake it all was. It’s best if you convince a wider circle of people of this. If everyone knows you did something, it becomes less important and less intimate. The more the lie is in the open, the more strength it gathers. Men thus cleverly take the emphasis from the act itself (intercourse, cheating) to his remorse and pain. People love a slumped convert and nobody wants to mention the cause of the pain, so as not to upset the person in pain even more.
