Your bedroom is an extremely important part of your apartment, as it is the place where you make love most frequently. That's why it is essential for your sex life to have a tidy and peaceful bedroom where you are left totally to yourselves. There are things that don't belong in your bedroom and others that you cannot do without.
Things that don't belong in your bedroom
1. A TV set
It feels nice to cuddle up to one's partner in the middle of a movie and to realize how different it is to watch TV with them than alone. It's pleasant to feel your body beside theirs. But still, we suggest you remove the TV from your bedroom and hope we don't have to explain this further. If you don't have it there, the chances are greater that you will decide to entertain yourselves with sexual activities instead of turning on TV before going to bed. If you cannot do without a TV set in your bedroom, you should always watch it together, holding hands, cuddling and being naked. Don't let the TV estrange you.
2. Children
You may have taken your child into your bed when he or she was little, in order to calm him or her, but you don't have to do that from month to month and from year to year, as this will surely destroy your sex life. Your bed should stay only yours, as it is an indispensable part of your shelter in complete intimacy of lovers, and you have to treat it that way. We know you adore your child, but once there's a child between you, you cannot be lovers.
3. Complaints
We all get angry at our partners sometimes, even if deeply love them. We all have annoying habits and weaknesses, even if don't like admitting that. If you want successful communication in your love life and a satisfying sex life, stop giving complaints. Change your complaints into your wishes. Life is enough stressful as it is and we definitely don't need more pressure and negative energy from our partners. Instead of saying »You never show the initiative for sex!«, try with »I love it when you're seducing me«. You will be surprised to see the results.
4. Stubbornness and insults
Verbal duels and a tad of competitive energy can contribute to passionate sex. However, when one of the partners constantly asserts their will and needs to be always right, this can cause the other partner to draw away from them and eventually reject them. Compromises are a necessary part of healthy intimacy and sexuality. Besides, in bed we are also physically very exposed and vulnerable, which makes us more sensitive to our lover's taunts, even if these aren't meant to hurt us.
Things that belong in your bedroom
1. Cleanliness
Create a sanctuary in your bedroom, as it is a very special place. Don't leave your bed unmade, don't forget to regularly change the sheets, don't leave your clothes lying around, don't fill your bedroom with junk and never ever let a TV set enter it. You have a living room for such things.
2. A mirror
Even though many advocates of
feng shui and healthy bioenergetics wouldn't agree with this piece of advice, as a mirror is supposed to disrupt sleep, a mirror is still a great to liven up your sex life. If you place a mirror in your bedroom at least in the moments of sexual arousal, in order to be able to watch yourself while making love, a totally different atmosphere will fill the room. For the sake of feng shui, you can put a light curtain over the mirror that you use once the moments of passion are over.
3. Lots of intimacy
Don't roll into your bed as perfect strangers. Every evening you should prepare a little surprise or treatment for your partner, even if this simply means a hug. When your lover feels tired, offer her or him a massage of the back or feet. If you had an argument during the day, don't go to sleep angry, as this will only make the abyss between you greater. What also shouldn't be missing from your bedroom is a book on sex, erotic movies, sexy lingerie, sexual accessories and whatever increases your lust.
4. Something to rub and freshen yourself with
On your bedside table, you should keep handkerchiefs or a moistening towel. Thus you will never be in a hurry to get to the bathroom and you'll be able to just lie in your bed with your partner and rest. A handkerchief or toilet paper will solve the problem of what to do with all the sperm after intercourse. If you use a regular towel for this purpose, keep it apart from other towels.
