Spontaneous erections are a part of sexual development
Spontaneous erections can be very uncomfortable but they are a normal part of sexual development. They occur most often in puberty because of the hormones running wild. The body must compensate for this and one side effect is a spontaneous erection.
They almost always occur for no real reason at the most inappropriate times, at the most inappropriate places and cause us problems, awkward moments and worries. And then you have to decide what to do, how to hide it. A spontaneous erection usually goes away if you ignore it and put it out of your mind.
Learn to hide a spontaneous erection
One possible solution is to wear tighter underwear, which will not stretch and will thus prevent your erection from being too visible. Besides the underwear, trousers can also help you hide a spontaneous erection. In this case, we are going in the opposite direction – wear baggy trousers. They not only provide you with a good hiding place, but give you plenty of room to manoeuvre. If you want to hide the erection, put your hands in your pockets and spread the pants more widely. Tight underwear and baggy trousers will almost certainly cover what you want to hide.
Clothes can really help you. You can also wear too big and loose-fitting T-shirts, which go beyond your behind. Your school bags (worn over your shoulders and with longer straps, which enable the bag to hang) can also work in your favour (not only because of the books you carry around in them). So, now your disguise is perfect.
If you are an athlete or if you end up in a joint bathroom and are afraid that your penis will surprise you during the shower, it is best to go to the toilet before and simply
masturbate. More frequent ejaculationssupposedly help to alleviate the problem of spontaneous erections.
More advice on how to tackle spontaneous erections
1. Focusing your mind on something else forces you to ignore the erection, which will therefore go away faster.
2. When you sit down, stretch your legs and tighten your muscles at the front. Thus, the blood will go from the penis to the legs and the spontaneous erection will disappear. The advice is a little bit extreme, but desperate times call for desperate measures! Try pinching or some other activity that cause you pain. The pain requires its own attention, so the penis will not get so much of it.
3. As a last resort, you may try walking on your heels, which is supposedly an effective method.
4. It is also advisable not to make any quick, sudden, impulsive movements because you may injure your penis.
As much of a nuisance a spontaneous erection may be, be comforted by the thought that it will pass.
