There’s been a lot said about the positive and negative effects of sperm. Still, some women find it hard to decide whether to “swallow the sperm or not”. The arguments can be of a medical or hygienic nature. A big concern with women (and men) is that she might even get pregnant after a fellatio due to a strange turn of events. Well, getting pregnant by swallowing sperm is certainly in the realm of science fiction, especially if the woman swallows all of the sperm. You’ll also not gain weight if you swallow sperm. But there are some other worries connected to swallowing sperm.

Is sperm dangerous?

Sperm of a healthy man has a lot less germs than his saliva. The main question is whether a man has any sexually transmitted diseases. The use of protection is definitely advisable when performing fellatio if you don’t know your partner. The same goes even if you decide not to swallow because a man can also be hiding many things in his pre-ejaculation.

Hormones in sperm

Women sometimes wonder if they’ll be getting a dose of male hormones by swallowing his ejaculate. The testicles do produce the lion’s share of male hormones, but they’re not excreted with ejaculation. They go directly into the blood flow where they can influence the rest of the body.

Some doubts are justified, but others not so much. Despite all the arguments for and against swallowing sperm, the simple fact which usually tips the scale to one side or the other is how much a woman likes her partner and how much she likes (or doesn’t like) sperm.
