When you have hot sex with food ...

1.10.2008 | By: T. B.

This time we will not talk about what food to use to spice up our intercourse, but about what we have to watch out for when we are choosing the food.

Sex and food are both associated with pleasure. They can both make us feel fulfilled, happy, they can give our tongues, taste buds and brain something to do. Both require imagination and artistic expression from us. With all the parallels between sex and food, it is not surprising that humans thought of connecting the two and double the pleasure during sex with food, or double the pleasure when eating with sex.

It is not just the good taste of food which makes us feel pleasure during intercourse. The shape and scent of the food is also important. The more senses are satisfied, the better. Food that reminds us of a penis, like a banana, or food that reminds us of a vulva, like oysters, definitely arouses our imagination and helps to turn us on even more. Consequently, people have made food into an aphrodisiac. Let us not forget the smell. Among others, the scents of vanilla and mustard can turn us on.

There is no real research about which food is most appropriate. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes it is better not to have all the answers because this enables us not to follow the guidelines of scientific research and makes us explorers, which is very important when it comes to sexuality.

Let us consider our senses and what they enjoy. Let us wonder what scent makes us close our eyes and takes us far away, what flavour, what we like to touch, see... Let us therefore let our imaginations loose, but we should still consider some facts.

When we think about spicing up our sexuality with food, we should of course avoid food that we and our partners are allergic to. An allergic reaction is not only caused by the food we ingest, but also by food which comes in contact with sensitive tissue (anus, vagina). The least it can cause is some unpleasant itching.

Inappropriate food temperature can also cause problems, so we should be careful not to cause any burns during those passionate moments. Cooked food  should therefore be properly cooled down. Special attention should be paid to the spices in the food (menthol, cinnamon...) because these spices can arouse our senses too much in quantities that are too large and we can experience negative sensations.

Something else about the shape of food – the food should be of appropriate shape and size, so it does not get lost or stuck. If we use fresh fruit or vegetables, they should be cleaned. We can also use a condom for extra protection.

Using sweet and greasy food is also questionable, especially for the areas below the waist. Not only because of the unpleasant stains and the stickiness this food leaves behind. Greasy food can destroy a condom and sweeps up bacteria. Sugar stimulates the growth of tumours and bacteria in moist conditions.

Bon appetit!
