Want a son? Eat cereal!
Want a son? He is what you eat
Oysters increase our libido, but there is nothing like a sweet breakfast, which is supposed to increase the chances of conceiving a son. On the other hand, diet food, which includes only a few calories, raises the chances of conceiving a daughter, as was shown by a study conducted by the British institute of biology.
Fiona Mathews from British University Exeter wanted to determine whether a woman’s diet influences the sex of the conceived baby. She included 740 future mums in her research. The volunteers reported in detail about their diet and eating habits before and after conception.
Want a son? Keep the calories coming
Fifty-six percent of women who ate high energy food, gave birth to a son. Forty-four percent of women who ate low energy or diet food, gave birth to a girl.
What is more, the chances of having a boy proved much higher with women who daily consumed a bowl of cereal in comparison to women who ate only one bowl of cereal per week. It seems, if you
want a son, cereal is your friend.
Fiona Mathews concluded the study with the thought: "This research may help explain why, in developed countries, where many young women choose to have low-calorie diets, the proportion of boys born is falling."
