As researches have shown, physical attraction plays a key role with most people. Maybe this seems unfair for a moment, but we can use the excuse that people are visual beings, so we evaluate on the basis of what we see. Most researches show that we usually equate beauty with positive personal characteristics like: good hygiene, modesty, social skills, dignity, etc. Beautiful people are seen as more interesting and are believed to be more relaxed during intercourse than people who look average. They are supposedly more successful in their jobs and marriages, they are considered happier and supposedly live a fuller life.

 

The mindset about beautiful people and the characteristics we unconsciously ascribe to them also affect us in the way that we like to be together with them because our reputation and social position improves. So, beautiful people are more welcome in social situations than people who look ordinary.

Besides the outward appearance, other factors become more relevant as we get to know a person. These factors are:

 

Professional position

 

We find people who have more respected and financially lucrative jobs more interesting and attractive. A good financial position is especially a real babe magnet many times.

 

Intelligence and knowledge

We are much more attracted to people who know something and have an open mind than to ignorant people. It is true that perfection can turn us off just as quickly, meaning people who believe that they can do nothing wrong and that they know everything.

 

The ability to listen and general social skills

 

The willingness to talk, empathy, the capability to express opinions and the feeling that someone is listening to us and accepts us as people also affects how attractive we will find this person.

 

Hygiene

 

An important factor which makes someone appear more attractive is the person’s hygiene. The best looking hunk who only washes once a week will be highly repulsive and disgusting.

 

 

The real combination of physical attraction is the merging of the visual and the inner aspect. Building, developing  and caring for both these areas and the satisfaction achieved in such a way, works like a magnet, which beats even the most chiselled good looks.
