Heterosexual women who like to flirt with the same sex

The expression flexisexuality describes persons who have a certain sexual orientation but they don't let this sexual orientation limit them. The trend is especially visible among women from 30 to 40 years of age, who also show affection for the representatives of the same sex.

Flexisexuality is the most common in Hollywood

The Hollywood elite caused the spreading of the trend to the whole population. Many famous singers and actresses have described, sang about or even showed such relationships on stage. For example, the passionate kiss between Madonna and Britney Spears or Angelina Jolie's sexual affairs with women. A representative of the younger generation of flexisexuals is Lindsay Lohan. She denied being a lesbian, despite her relationship with Samantha Ronson, and later went back to the male sex.

Women get more confident with age

“Women are often more open for such experiences when they reach their 40s and are more confident with their sexuality. If an opportunity presents itself they may think “why not”, particularly if they have come out of a long relationship,” psychologist Dr Cecelia D’Felice said for Daily Mail. Actress Drew Barrymore, who was married twice, also confessed to experiencing passion with women a couple of times. She explained that she was actually getting to know her own body through someone else's body, which happened to be the body of another woman.

Psychologists claim that flexisexuality became a trend especially because of the female celebrities, who have publicly talked about their actions. It also existed before, but now the popularity of flexisexuality is spreading with the speed of light.
