Lack of sex makes you more eager at work
It is a known fact that the quantity of sex and stress are inversely proportional. However, a team of German researchers has recently warned that these two variables should not be taken too lightly. Their findings show that consistent and high-quality sexual activity reduces tension. Sexual frustration is a complex phenomenon which tricks couples powerlessly and unconsciously into a wild tempo of work, by taking on more obligations at
work and having almost no sex life.
Lack of sex makes you more diligent
Dr. Ragnar Beer, a psychologist at the University of Goettingen, included 32 thousand men and women in the study on an inverse proportion of sexual activity and work activity. The results showed that the less sex the individual has more active he or she is at work.
Sexually deprived people therefore have to find something to replace the shortage of sex and they often resort to work and the job environment where they start to spend more and more time. Beer’s research team confirmed that 36 per cent of men and 35 per cent of women, who have sexual intercourse only once a week, seek more work at the job. That way, they forget about their
poor sex life. Almost half of men and women who do not enjoy bed adventures with their partners have to dig deep into the memory to recall the last sexual intercourse.
Workaholics simply forget about the lack of sex
The worst situation is that workaholics waste their time for work duties and obligations and thus also spend the time they could potentially use for
sex with their partners. Beer claims that lack of sex life poses obstacles to reduce stress. An individual who lacks sex often works a lot or assumes an important leading position. This then results in spending increasingly less time at home, which is also unhealthy for the relation between the partners. There is a spiral effect which ruins sex life.
If you have a lot of sex, you work poorly
On the other hand, people who have sexual intercourse at least twice a week do not even want to think about work. Let alone more work. Only five per cent of the “horny” segment of the study seek additional activities to reduce stress. Nevertheless, Dr. Beer states that the possibility of crossing from the spiral of workaholism to the spiral of sex is not excluded for workaholics. However, he warns couples to pay attention to the excitement in their sex life and make sure that the partner is pleased, before it is too late. If you interpret the German study in your own way, a conclusion could be that an employer would want an employee who does not have sex, which means the employee with healthy sex life would probably be let go on the first day if they told that to the employer. Funny, isn’t it?
