Men, Do You Know Which Color Attracts Women the Most?

An unusual research has finally revealed which color of men's clothes attracts women the most!

Red color is not reserved for women

An international research, published in Journal of Experimental Psychology, which included women from the US, the UK, Germany and China, has shown that women find men dressed in red color more attractive than if they wear clothes in other colors. Andrew Elliot, the head of research at the University of Rochester, emphasized that the research findings are contrary to the established belief that red color looks attractive only on women. ''The results of our research hinted that men who wear clothes in red color are more attractive to women from all countries, despite their cultural differences and significance of colors in different social and traditional environments.''

Red color signifies a higher social status

The research consisted of seven experiments, some of them were divided in two parts, and 20 to 57 women participated in each experiment, aged between 19 and 22. Men also participated in one experiment as a control group. The results of the research have supposedly confirmed that women associate red color with a higher social status, which is in accordance with the findings about other primates. ''It is typical for chimpanzees that the alpha male visibly turns red when fighting for power,'' Elliot explained. ''This is a clear sign of social status which tells the females which male is the most appropriate candidate for mating.''
