Sex life of men is often put to test because women worry to much about their extra pounds. So what is the connection between sex and obesity?

Obesity as an excuse for sex

The modern excuse for sex »not now, I have a headache«, could be soon replaced with: »not now, I'm fat.« A modern woman is much more relaxed in bed than her predecessors but her love life is now threatened by insecurity about her extra pounds. 

British issue of the popular women's magazine Cosmopolitan conducted a research among their female readers. It showed that three out of four women are worried about their weight and they avoid sex with their partners because of their »belly fat« and »flabby thighs«.

Among 73 percent of women who lack confidence, some of them are worried that they are not charming enough while others are afraid they are too fat. Women who gave birth admitted that the appearance of stretch marks has reduced their sexual desire in bed.

Why are women worried about obesity?

Pam Spurr, an expert in the field of sexuality, claims that such thinking occurs mostly because of the images of perfect bodies in the media. It is proven that men don't pay attention to the appearance and bodily mistakes of a woman. »Men think about pleasure not about woman's mistakes.«

The research included 3000 women, aged from 18 to 40.
