“Oral Sex – I Won't Do It!”
Did you think that everyone likes to perform and receive oral sex? Well, it is not quite like that…

Almost 8 per cent of women and 5.3 per cent of men do not practise oral sex. (jlp)
You have surely asked yourself what others do in bed that you do not, or what they do not do that you do? Often people even think that everyone has very similar sexual relations because they know certain positions, practices, toys, places for sex, and they might even share similar fantasises. But if you question your friends about their bed activities, you find out that things are not quite like that. Then you ask yourself when it comes to the point that sexual practice is so different and rare it could be labelled as deviant?

4.4 per cent of women do not like oral sex. (jlp)
People say that everything is allowed in bed, and both partners agree with that, so we will not go into details about what is right and wrong. Instead, the focus will be on what is completely normal, acceptable and ordinary for a person, while it is quite the opposite for someone else. If you ask people what they consider as deviant sexual practices, their responses are usually fisting, sadomasochistic games, group sex, bukkake, golden shower, often anal sex as well, and so on. Therefore, a deviant sexual practice is all that a person does, but most people believe that most people do not do such things. Everything else is normal and acceptable. And is it really? What if during sexual intercourse a person does not do things which are believed to be done by others? For instance, satisfying the partner with his or her hand or oral sex. Believe it or not, there are people who do not practise that. They do not receive it and they do not perform it. Never. For whatever reason. Is that normal or is it as deviant as extreme sexual practices, for instance? It is probably equally rare.

Would you agree to sex life without oral sex? (jlp)
In a poll carried out at the Intimate Medicine website, 8 per cent of women responded that they never receive or perform oral sex. (The same number of women probably has anal sex, which is considered deviant by many people.) Can you imagine that you never lick your partner’s genitals with your tongue and she never takes your penis into her mouth? And every foreplay has to be different. Would you agree to that? On the other hand: 5.3 per cent of men also do not perform oral sex. I know one of them. He says that he does not practise oral sex because he thinks it is humiliating for a woman to perform fellatio. Hm, this does not sound so deviant any more but even respectful, doesn’t it? With all due respect, many people, me included, would never give up oral sex, but for those 8 per cent of women such a man is a blessing. And the same goes for all other “deviant” sexual practices. In my opinion, deviant practices are therefore not determined by the majority of people but the two persons or those who are involved in sexual activity.

What is allowed in sex life and what is deviant is determined by the partners themselves. (jlp)
In the end, let me point out that 65.5 per cent of women and 66.2 per cent of men participating in the poll responded that they perform and receive oral sex, of which 14 per cent of men and 10 per cent of women prefer performing it, and 12 per cent of men and the same share women prefer receiving it, and in 1.7 per cent of men and 4.4 per cent of women do not like oral sex. What about you? How much do you like oral sex? Do you prefer performing or receiving it? Could you give it up? And how “deviant” does it seem to you that some people simply do not practise it?
