Western opinion about the influence of marijuana on sex

Official medicine states that marijuana has negative consequences on the health of sexual organs with long-term users, such as: reduced fertility, erectile dysfunction, irregular period and lack of sexual desire. But some researchers are convinced that the negative effects of marijuana on reproductive organs are not permanent.

India, marijuana and sex

The traditional Indian medicine ayurveda has its own opinion about marijuana and sex, which is opposite to the opinion of the Western medicine. Ayurveda uses marijuana to increase libido and arousal and even to treat impotence. Men have longer erection after consuming this intoxicating substance and the ejaculation occurs later than usual. For women it is beneficial because it increases the moistness of the vagina.

Tantra uses bhang for prolonging sexual intercourse.

Mystical tantric ceremonies use bhang which is basically a drink from milk and marijuana sweetened with honey or sugar and spices (cardamom, cinnamon, etc.). Bhang is used in tantric sexual intercourse to achieve orgasms of the whole body, where the ejaculation and the loss of sexual energy doesn't occur. The purpose of tantric sexual intercourse which lasts up to 8 hours is to make the ego disappear during an orgasm - a state closest to nirvana. In modern India bhang is still considered a potion with healing powers and many magical characteristics. It is also used by Indian prostitutes to make their job easier when the client is very unattractive.
