The male body as well as the female body are subject to a completely natural process called aging. Sexual desire decreases and aging also brings diseases that make sex life additionally more difficult: high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and poor psycho-physical condition, all of which contribute to abandoning sexuality. When they are older, women experience the transition to menopause that completely changes their sex life. These are all natural processes which are a result of aging. - And then Viagra appears.
It is used by about 27 million men worldwide. As there are two people required for sexual intercourse, this also means the effect on about 27 million partners. Men who fall into the group of the most frequent users of Viagra have partners who cannot use a similar pill. A man’s libido is restored, while women are left on their own. It is true that Viagra does not stimulate sexual desire, but only ensures erection. However, it is the ability to have an erection that arouses men and even stimulates their sexual desire.
Women are faced with a double problem. The lubrication of the vagina during and after menopause dramatically decreases or even completely disappears. The problem, however, can be solved by using lubricants.
A bigger problem is the psychological one. Hormonal changes deeply affect sexual desire and general mood. Sexual intercourse is not the first thing women think about in menopause. Men, on the other hand, experience the second puberty with the help of Viagra.
If data on the percentage of men who cheat on their partners due to Viagra are difficult or impossible to get, there are other data available. In the group of men between the ages of 45 and 64 the rate of gonorrhoea infections increased by 227 per cent in the last decade, and the rate of chlamydia infections increased by 315 per cent. But sexually transmitted infections are not the only problem. Women whose men have rediscovered the thrills of sexual intercourse are under great pressure. Their sexual desire decreases in years, while men can maintain their desire with the help of Viagra.
There are also technical problems that contribute to the picture of the "dark side of Viagra". You have to take Viagra at least an hour or two before having sexual intercourse. So, it has to be planned. There is nothing wrong with that, but many women feel as if they were an object and are under pressure to have sexual intercourse because the pill should not be wasted. The dark side of Viagra is the fact that sex life becomes something that is connected with the blue pill, it is timed to the man’s desires and women find themselves in a very difficult situation due to which many marriages break up.
Viagra has thus proved to be a double-edged sword. It cannot be denied that it helps millions of people. However, it also causes a number of problems that affect the lives of people one way or the other, but the latter will not be solved with chemistry.
