We have all already laughed at unusual laws, mostly at the laws in the US. Americans are the masters in accepting unusual (let's say foolish) laws and nearly every federal state has at least one funny legal provision.

There are quite a few unusual laws that are connected with sex. Let's begin.

 

Pennsylvania:

A man may not become sexually aroused in public, and anal sex is punishable by a several thousand dollars fine.

 

Montana:

In Bozeman, it's illegal to have intercourse with a person of the opposite sex on the front lawn after sundown if the participants of the sexual activity are nude (so if you wear socks you obviously don't break the law).

 

The saleswomen in Liverpool can be topless, but only if they sell tropical fish. (jlp)

 

Minnesota:

A man may not have sex with a live fish (women apparently can). It is also illegal to sleep nude. In Alexandria, the husband mustn't have sex with his wife if his breath stinks of garlic, onions or sardines. By law, the husband must brush his teeth if asked to by his wife.

 

Wyoming:

In Newcastle, there is a law which prohibits a couple from having intercourse standing inside a market's walk-in-meat freezer.

 

Ohio:

In Cleveland, a woman may not wear patent-leather shoes and a skirt at the same time because a man might see the reflection of her intimate parts in her shoes.

 

Utah:

In Tremont, the law prohibits a woman from having sex while riding in an ambulance. If caught during sex in a moving ambulance, the woman shall be charged and her name shall be published in the local newspaper. The man who has sex with the woman is not charged and his name isn't revealed.

 

Arizona:

Women may go topless in public as breasts are not deemed the private parts.

Illinois:

It is punishable by law to make love while hunting or fishing on your wedding day.

 

Nebraska:

Couples sleeping at a hotel must wear white cotton nightshirts while sleeping, which are provided by the hotel. The may not even take them off during sex.

 

In Illinois, you aren't allowed to have intercourse while fishing or hunting on your wedding day. (jlp)

 

New Mexico:

A couple may only have sex in a parked vehicle during their lunch break and if the vehicle has curtains.

 

Ohio:

Anal sex is illegal in Cincinnati.

 

Oregon:

In Willowdale, men must pay a fine if they talk 'dirty' during sex. On the other hand, a woman may say anything she wants.

 

Wisconsin:

According to the law in Connorsville, it is illegal for a man to shoot off a gun while his female partner has an orgasm.

Hong Kong can be a dangerous place for cheaters. (jlp)

 

Here are some non-American ones. In London, it is illegal to have sex on a parked motorcycle. The punishment for masturbation in Indonesia is decapitation. In the English city of Liverpool a saleswoman may go topless, but only in shops with tropical fishes. In Hong Kong, a woman cheated by her husband is allowed to kill him. She may only do that by her bare hands, while she may kill the husband's mistress in any way she wants.
