Who are paedophiles?

Etymologically speaking, a paedophile is a person who likes children. This would be a positive emotion if not for the perverse undertone.

What kind of profile does a paedophile have?

The main characteristics of a paedophile are weakness and shyness. Paedophiles are afraid to have a relationship with a mature woman because they’re afraid of being subjugated, instead of being the dominant one. It’s much easier for him with a little girl, even though there’s no complete sexual act. A little girl is naturally subjugated because of her dependency on her family. Apart from that, she still can’t tell the difference between right and wrong. That’s what paedophiles find especially appealing.

Paedophilia isn’t necessarily an aggressive act

Paedophilia is gentle and not aggressive most of the time. Paedophiles rarely use force to get more or less free access to the girl’s body. They only use their victim’s naivety because she can’t tell the difference between what’s allowed and what not. The victim isn’t mistrustful of these paedophiles because they are someone she has met in more or less ordinary circumstances. It often happens this is someone she completely trusts, like a teacher, priest a coach, etc.

Does paedophilia occur only with men?

Paedophilia is typically a male perversion. But still, we have to mention a case that shows how our judgment can be flawed when morality is in question. For example, when we see a young woman who  is holding a baby in her lap and she’s fondling and caressing the child, we see nothing wrong with that. But if a man does this, it may happen he’ll be accused of paedophilia, even though his relationship with the baby is totally innocent.


That’s why we have to stress certain things, especially parents who are supposed to warn their children about this phenomenon. It’s understandable that they have to also be told the reason, which is often not the case because this is a difficult subject to discuss.

Paedophiles are slaves to their own urges

Just like homosexuals, paedophiles don’t choose to become the way they are. They are the victims of their urges, which they can’t resist. The most they can do is to include themselves in the adult world. If they manage to have good sexual relations with adults, these paedophilic tendencies can decrease or even disappear.

”Hidden” paedophilia

It has to be mentioned that there’s a category of paedophilia unknown to the law. We’re talking about parents who overstep the boundaries of normality in the manifestations of tenderness towards their own children, however, incest does not occur. Even though no statistics are available for this, this phenomenon is more present than we may think.
