The "pill"

 

The first contraceptive pills Enovid were placed on the market in 1960 in America. The advantages of the pill are protection against unwanted pregnancy, regular menstrual cycle and, of course, sexual intercourse without condom – naturally, only if you checked whether your partner does not have any sexually transmitted disease. The positive characteristics of the pill made American women so enthusiastic that since the beginning of 1961 the ‘pill’ has been taken by more than 1 million of women in America.

 

In 2005, almost 45 years after the placing the first pill on the market, there are 35 different pills on the American market. According to the official data of the American Health Agency, 10 million American women take the pill, and the actual number of users of this method is probably even be larger.

 

Since the beginning of 1961 the ‘pill’ has been taken by more than 1 million of women in America.
