After-Sex Headache
27.03.2010 | By: A. M.
Jokes of having a headache as an excuse when not feeling like having sex are widely known. There is, however, a very real possibility of getting a headache after sex!

It's true - sex can lead to headache. (jlp)
Sexual activity, and more so orgasm, can trigger headache. During sexual intercourse some people notice tension in the head and neck, which gradually increases and ends up as a headache after orgasm. Some also describe a sudden headache during orgasm.
Most headaches that develop during sex have no special meaning. If they repeat, however, you should inform your GP about it. Sometimes headaches that develop during sexual intercourse are a warning of changes taking place in your organism, such as bleeding in the brain or a stroke.
