Anorexia Is Profoundly Unsexy

Anorexia isn't profoundly unsexy just because it robs the female body of its curves. For many people suffering from anorexia, sex is a taboo. This illness has many negative effects on an individual's sex life.

Anorexia represents an enormous threat for the body in puberty. The anorexic teenage body doesn't develop as it should. As regards sex, we have to consider also the psychological aspects of health, as an anorexic person starts to exhibit an undeveloped, arrested attitude towards sexuality.

 

Many women suffering from anorexia have no desire for intercourse. The people inflicted with this condition are determined that they don't need anything from others. In their subconscious, they come to realize that sex is a sign of weakness, which means that they aren't self-confident enough.

Anorexic people avoid pleasure. The reason for this is in the brain centre that tells them that avoiding intimate relations is the same as avoiding food, which literally means that anorexics refuse to have anything inside their bodies. To put it in another way, anorexic individuals don't want to be influenced by anything, either people or food.

 

Anorexics are afraid of intimacy. Deep inside they want to feel it, but the fear of it is too great, and thus they find it easier to live without being very close to another human being. Trying to convince someone with anorexia problems to have sexual intercourse with you is extremely difficult. The person must first get to trust you, which is very difficult for them. visit to a therapist might certainly help. Getting trust is of key importance. A person who earns the anorexic's trust can help the anorexic individual to live a healthy and full life again.
