Alibidimy is the term which overlaps with the better known term frigidity. The disease can be of a physical or psychological nature. We distinguish between primary frigidity, which starts at a young age, or secondary frigidity, which arises as the consequence of a certain event later in life. Woman’s sexual apathy usually becomes problematic in a relationship, when refuses or avoids sexual intimacy and this leads to quarrels, suspicions, accusations and confusion.
Treatment of frigidity
Treatment of frigidity usually begins with the following question: “How many women, do you think, masturbate prior to and during marriage?” The first and fundamental piece of advice by a therapist is as follow: “Go home and masturbate.” Your partner has to participate as well. In 1978 Lo Piccolo and Lobitz developed the 9-level program, which is described below:
- Partners have to abstain from sexual activity involving coitus (penetration). Woman has to carefully watch her body and genitalia in front of a mirror until she starts feeling comfortable in her own skin.
- Exploration of her body follows, in particular the genital area. This is difficult for some women, as they perceive their bodies as filthy and disgusting. Through persistent persuasion of a therapist and her partner, the woman will gradually overcome resistance.
- The woman goes on exploring her body and she pays attention to the parts that make her feel good, which she achieves by stimulation. She should not stop touching her clitoris in this phase. She has to realize that her body is part of her and she can experience pleasant feelings that are not filthy or sinful.
- When she begins recognizing her body, she also discover the clitoris. A therapist teaches her the
techniques of masturbation, however, she can achieve the most by exploring herself. Sometimes it also helps if she watches educational films. - If the woman still cannot reach an orgasm, she has to continue masturbating more intensely and for a longer period of time, up to 45 minutes. If pornographic material helps, she should use this option. Sexual fantasies are usually poor and not intense in such women.
- In extreme cases, when a woman is still not able to reach an orgasm, it is recommended that she uses a vibrator to massage her body. Practice shows that in three weeks at the latest (45 minutes a day) every woman achieves orgasm. The partner still does not practice coitus.
- Now the treatment is directed so as to make the woman capable of reaching orgasm in the presence of her partner, or with his help. The first step is masturbation in the partner’s presence.
- Now the partner tries to satisfy her in the way she satisfied herself, that is, by hand or vibrator.
- When the woman reaches an orgasm, partners can try to have sexual intercourse. It is important that the partner helps the woman by
stimulating her clitoris, helps her choose the appropriate position and have such sexual intercourse that the woman can reach an orgasm.
Different methods of treatment
The method is only one of a number of different methods. The described method has been tested and it helps women to have normal sex life, which also enriches the relationship. If you suffer from inhibited sexual desire, is it, of course, necessary that you visit a therapist who will determine the reasons for the disease and prescribe appropriate treatment. The method only has an effect on a certain type of women, if the disorder is of a psychological nature. If the disorder is physical in nature, hormonal or surgical treatment is necessary.
