Coitus Interruptus is Very Bad Contraception!
Couples have been practicing coitus interruptus for many tens of thousands of years and it’s even described in The Bible, but coitus interruptus still remains one of the worst contraception methods.

Coitus interruptus was already used by the Hebrews
People practiced
coitus interruptus already many tens of thousands years ago and this method was the main form of contraception among the Hebrews. The most important thing was the discovery of the connection between sexual intercourse and conceiving a child. This is a form of sexual intercourse where the man quickly pulls his penis out of the vagina at the moment he feels the ejaculation coming and ejaculates onto his partner or beside her, instead of her vagina. So this is the withdrawal method, which prevents the occurrence of unwanted pregnancy. Coitus interruptus is also mentioned in The Bible. Here’s the passage: ”And Judah said unto Onan, ‘Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.’ And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.” (Genesis 38:8)
Is coitus interruptus really effective?
From all possible contraception methods coitus interruptus has the highest percentage of failure because it’s unsuccessful about 20 percent of the time. The withdrawal method is definitely not the most reliable way of protecting yourself from an unwanted pregnancy. The main reason for this is pre-ejaculatory fluid, which is secreted out of the penis during arousal. It is secreted during sexual intercourse without the man even knowing it and it contains sperms. The number of sperms is even greater in this fluid if the man ejaculated a short time ago and so any number of sperms can already be on its way to the ovum even before the man has an orgasm. Besides this, coitus interruptus also requires a great deal of self-control in a man. Inexperienced young men find it hard to resist the moment of ecstasy and they often pull the penis out when it’s too late.
Coitus interruptus is becoming less popular
Surveys have shown that this method is very popular in Italy and Turkey and in Western Asia. In the last decades its popularity has been decreasing around the world due to other
contraception methods. A survey in Iran showed that areas where coitus interruptus is used more frequently as contraception don’t have a higher birth rate. Much depends on the female cycle because fertility isn’t always the same. Sometimes there’s a higher chance of pregnancy and sometimes lower. Sometimes passion and enthusiasm get the better of people and circumstances occur when a couple has no other choice than to use coitus interruptus to prevent pregnancy.
Advantages and disadvantages of coitus interruptus
Both partners can derive total pleasure from coitus interruptus, but they can also both share later frustrations in case a pregnancy occurs. Women want the man to remain inside them for as long as possible, which can be highly misleading for the partner. The advantage of this method is that there’s no addition of hormones into the female body, as is the case with contraception pills. There are also no other physical consequences, like with condoms, which can cause allergies, for example. The downside of practicing the pull-out method is certainly the exposure to sexually transmitted diseases. Long-term it can also cause constant sexual dissatisfaction because you can never have a relaxed orgasm.
When it’s too late, washing the vagina with various means also fails
The sperms in semen move very quickly and reach the female egg in an instant. The chance of pregnancy is very strong in the middle of the cycle, meaning during ovulation. That’s why washing your vagina after an unsuccessful coitus interruptus is in vain because the pregnancy has most likely already occurred. Many women still try to prevent the pregnancy by washing their vagina with water, vinegar or lemon juice, but such attempts are unsuccessful. The only possible method is taking the
morning-after pill.
