If you suffer from vaginal fungal infection, avoid sugar
The level of blood sugar in women who are trying to lose weight fluctuates heavily. This means that just after a meal the glucose level is very high and that it attracts the so-called yeast. This fungus thrives in the vagina and breeds there. The most common vaginal yeast is candida albicans, which loves sugar.
Physicians advise women with recurrent vaginal fungal infections to eat smaller amounts of certain types of food, for instance sugar, white flour and the snacks you usually crave while losing weight.
What about food containing yeast?
There are different opinions on whether a vaginal fungal infection can be prevented if you eat food that doesn't contain yeast, for example if you avoid bread and beer. Physicians believe that such a harsh measure isn't necessary, as it is completely natural to have yeast in your vagina.
One of the reasons behind developing a vaginal fungal infection is a too high level of blood sugar. A little change to your diet is the least you can do for the health of your vagina.
