Do Depressive Women Have More Action in Bed?
It may sound paradoxical that depressive women have a more active sexual life, but it is supposed to be true.

Depressive women are believed to have more partners and more action in bed
According to some researches made by a British medical institution, women, who suffer from depression, have sexual intercourse 30% more frequently than women with a ‘normal’ psychical condition.
Researches were made with both the depressed (in various degrees) and those with no mental problems. They took into consideration various factors, like status (single or in a relationship),
kissing, foreplay and sexual intercourse.
It was found out that depressed women have an increased need for sexuality, and are also more inclined to experimentation and frequent love affairs. Single girls, suffering from depression, have
more partners and more single-time sexual relationships with a specific partner.
Sexual intercourse uplifts the self-esteem of depressive women
A member of the research team from the Monash University in Australia, Sabura Allen, said: "The results may indicate that the women use sexual intercourse as a treatment for the depression. When people are depressed they feel more insecure about their relationships and concerned that their partner may not care about them or find them valuable. Having sexual intercourse helps them feel that closeness and security."
Other researches, based on mental mood, showed something else – sexually abstinent persons show some signs of depression, like anger, frustration, doubt and they may progress into a ‘true’ depression.
