Frigidity is the term formerly used for hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD). This sexual dysfunction in women is the same as impotence in men. A woman can’t become aroused enough to want to have sexual intercourse. Her vagina is insufficiently lubricated because she has low sexual desire. There’s no real response to penetration, so there’s no chance she’ll be able to reach an orgasm.
