Prepare the vibrator for cleaning

A vibrator is an electric or battery device and soaking it in water together with all its wires and batteries won’t do any good. Remember to remove all the things connected with power supply before cleaning. Your vibrator will soon become unusable unless it’s waterproof. Rinse it with water, but make sure the water doesn’t come inside your vibrator and damage the batteries or motor.

Choose the appropriate method for cleaning your vibrator

As vibrators are made from different materials, you have to think carefully before cleaning it and choose the most appropriate method for cleaning your material. Materials can be non-porous, such as silicone, or porous, such as latex. Because of its porous surface, the latter is much more demanding in terms of cleaning as dirt goes into the smallest spots. It’s recommended that you use cold or hot water and soap, if possible antibacterial soap. In every shop selling erotic toys, you can buy a special cleaner designed for that purpose. It’s also recommended that you wash high-quality silicone vibrators in a dishwasher or boiling water for no more than two minutes, while disinfection with alcohol is only recommended for vibrators made from hard plastic because it damages rubber. You always have to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and make sure the cleaning of your vibrator won’t have any unwanted side effects.

Dry it

It’s a very bad idea to have a wet or moist vibrator closed in a box. Before storing it, you have to dry your vibrator well, otherwise it’ll have a putrid smell reminiscent of mold the next time you use it. It’s also recommended that you store it at room temperature and protect it against direct sun because it can damage the material and thus shorten the lifespan of your vibrator.

Use condoms

By using a condom, you save the time and energy that you would have to spare for cleaning your vibrator after using it. After use, just simply remove it and dispose of it. You can quickly rinse your vibrator with lukewarm water. It’s always best to use caution, especially if you share your toy with someone else.
