Is Your Vagina Moist Enough?
Many women experience problems because their vagina is too dry. Vaginal moistness is vital for a satisfying sexual intercourse. What can you do if your vagina isn't moist enough?
A vagina that isn't moist enough will make sexual intercourse a thoroughly unpleasant experience.
The vagina usually gets moist on its own during sexual contact. It actually gets moist at the slightest hint of erotic arousal. However, sometimes the moistening of the vaginal mucous membrane isn't functioning as it should be. This can happen due to several factors.
Physical factors
Diseases which make the vagina dry are caused by injuries to the nervous system, low hormone levels in the blood or non-functional glands. Decreased vaginal moistness may also occur as a side effect of some drugs.
Don't ignore the problem. Consult your doctor as soon as possible. (jlp)
Psychological factors
The vagina may become dry for many psychological pressures that a woman has to face. A person with a dry vagina due to psychological problems often doesn't wish to have intercourse. She feels no sexual desire and has intercourse with her partner only to satisfy his needs. The psychological reasons for dryness of the vagina can be a traumatic past sexual experience like rape or sexual abuse, but far more common reasons for lack of moisture seem to be stress, partnership problems, fear of having sex, depression and other problems related to the psyche.

Treatment
If you cannot naturally moisten your vagina, you should consult your doctor as soon as possible. A doctor, psychiatrist or gynaecologist will come up with an exact diagnosis and recommend the proper treatment. While you're waiting for your appointment or the test results, don't neglect your sex life. The problems with a vagina that isn't moist enough can be temporarily solved with the use of lubricants. Using a lubricant makes arousal easier and helps stimulate the natural moisture.

Lubricants
Vaginal lubricants are ointments based on water, oil, silicon, cream and other ingredients. They replace a woman’s natural vaginal moisture. For many couples, lubricants are indispensable sexual accessories which greatly improve intercourse. You can even buy them in any flavour, and some contain the extract of aloe vera and vitamin E which calms the skin and the mucous membrane. You can get them in all sex shops, but of course you can order them on the Internet. The price of lubricants is usually somewhere between 15 and 20 pounds.
