Dehydration from sexual intercourse is identical to dehydration in sport

As in every sporting activity, it is important that people always drink water after sexual intercourse. In the wild game of giving oneself, they lose a lot of fluid. Thus, they often develop headaches as a consequence of dehydration. A study conducted in Great Britain showed that just two out of five people drink water after intercourse. Maybe some people don’t have intercourse so often because they feel unwell afterwards. For example, researches show that the French drink much more water and also have more sexual encounters.

Always have a glass of water after intercourse

Sweating and flushing indicate that the heart rate is faster. Lovemaking lasting half an hour increases the heart rate like a three-mile run. The difference between intercourse and sporting activities is in the quantity of the water you drink. The results of a study conducted by the company Highland Spring showed that nine out of ten people drink water after jogging or other form of exercise. This shows that people are unaware of how exhausting sexual intercourse is for the body.
For preventing dehydration after intercourse, some people recommend a glass of milk before intercourse because it ensures a sufficient quantity of fluid to the body as well as other nutrients.

Dehydration and hormones

Concern for preventing dehydration after intercourse is also important because of hormones. Dehydration decreases hormone production, which can create problems with fertility and decrease libido. In women as well, dehydration affects hormone production and, consequently, the ability to get moist. Dehydration that is deadly can occur if, besides drinking insufficient quantity of fluid, you smoke marijuana before intercourse or take ecstasy or another illegal drug.
