New Hope for Patients with Breast Cancer

New drug for breast cancer prolongs life of women with metastasis cancer.

The vaccine that should help women with breast cancer is based on the protein called hTERT. It is a peptide effective in almost all forms of cancer. Researchers claim that oligomers with the peptide link can identify the cells of the immune system and make the defence reaction stronger.

Test results

The vaccine for patients with breast cancer was tested on 19 female volunteers, of whom 13 increased the production of T-cells. The cells reacted with hTERT protein and started attacking the cells of the tumor.

Women with breast cancer who reacted positively to the vaccine lived, on average, 32 months longer from the commencement of therapy, while women who did not react to the therapy lived, on average, 17 months.

The emphasis is placed on prevention, which has already been mentioned a lot of times, because it is the only thing that helps you avoid all the more frequent diseases of the modern time.
