New Trend on the Rise: Nipple Augmentation

Cosmetic surgeons have noticed a rise in cosmetic surgery of the nipples or nipple augmentation - women want to change the shape, the size or even the color of their nipples.

British surgeons noticed a new trend in cosmetic surgeries - aesthetic nipple augmentation. Women who are not satisfied with the size of their nipple circles now have the possibility to surgically reduce or enlarge them. The procedure is not complicated and the only risk is that the scars will remain visible.

The more common reason for women to decide for cosmetic surgery is nipple inversion. It is advised to perform this type of surgery after the childbirth because the milk lines can be damaged during the surgery. Women who are not satisfied with the color of their nipples or the nipple circles or have a problem with the asymmetry of the circles, can also decide to have their circles tattooed, which is a procedure performed by plastic surgeons.

The media is to blame for the rise of nipple augmentation surgeries

A cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Riccardo Frati from London, claims that the media's presentation of female stars is to blame for the rise in nipple augmentation surgeries. The stars started to publicly show their breasts more frequently in recent years and the media contributed to a general image of the perfect nipples. Women didn't know until recently that they can even decide for nipple augmentation surgery.

Japanese women want purple nipples

A journalist Daniel Krieger reports that Japanese women are getting contagiously unsatisfied with their dark colored nipples, given to them by Mother Nature. Many of them agree that dark colored nipples are unattractive and they want to have pink ones instead, because they are supposedly a symbol of purity, youth and innocence. The Japanese market offers several products that make the dark nipples and circles lighter.

The most popular creams are Virgin Pink and a cream with a handy applicator, Virgin Peach. The creams are supposed to make the color of the nipples and the nipple circles permanently lighter and pink, just as the Japanese women want them to be. Similar products can also be found elsewhere in the world, because the dissatisfaction of women with the color, shape and size of their own nipples is present in other parts of the world as well.
