Urban myths about the taste of sperm
Despite many urban myths about the immense amount of calories in sperm, it has to be stressed that an average ejaculate contains only from five to eight calories, which is twice less than the same amount of hundred percent orange juice. It is much harder to define the smell and taste of sperm. People who eat only uncooked vegetarian cook supposedly have drastically different sperm to the rest of the population. The opinions of experts are divided. Some categorically deny the possibility that the taste and smell of sperm would be different between individuals because the basic structure and the pH factor of sperm are the same with everyone. Others admit they wouldn’t be surprised if substances that are excreted during urination and sweating when we eat something like asparagus or garlic also affected the eventual organoleptic characteristics of semen. But all scientists are convinced that the experts don’t have any empirical data to work with in this field.
Sperm of vegetarians vs. meat eaters
The circles where either commercial or unusual types of sexuality are intensely practiced are supplying us with different information, despite the findings of official medical experts. Sperm of vegetarians is supposedly sweeter than the sperm of meat eaters. The intensity of taste (in a negative sense) is also influenced by regularly smoking cigarettes and marijuana, drinking too much alcohol and coffee and eating spices, asparagus and mushrooms. In some specialized guidebooks for oral intercourse we may even find systematized types of food which makes the basic bitter and salty taste of sperm more moderate or it accentuates this quality. But, its characteristic smell is supposedly almost impossible to influence.
Ejaculation rules
The so-called 'cum etiquette' or ejaculation rules – which equally consider the female ejaculation (which is considered a disputable phenomenon in patriarchal expert circles) as well – is also known in certain gay communities. The first rule concerning all genital excrement used in sexual games is that eating this excrement or rubbing it into the body isn’t a safe sexual practice, so it matters who you’re doing it with. The second rule is that there are as many different smells and tastes of sperm (the same applies to vaginal juices) as there are people. Three, if you don’t want to taste your own sperm, you have no right demanding other people taste it.
Four, you can switch a partner, but you can’t change the smell and taste of sperm, which is negatively affected by (in particular) stress, age and possible abstinence. You can, however, make the smell and taste more bearable, or you can accentuate these qualities as well. Five, if you eat certain food regularly or drink certain beverages, you can make your sperm more neutral or sweeter: citrus fruit, bananas, pineapple, mango, other types of fruit, mint, parsley, celery, cinnamon, peanut butter, green tea, chamomile tea, pasta, potatoes and beer. Some examples of food and beverages which have just the opposite effect: broccoli, kale, cauliflower, asparagus, onions, garlic, chili, curry, red meat, dairy products, chocolate, spirits, fizzy drinks and of course cigarettes.
